Building & Joint Sealants

Parseal-PU Parseal-PU

PARSEAL PU is an elastic, single component, self-levelling, moisture curing polyurethane sealant specifically developed to be used as a multi-purpose floor joint sealant in applications. where high chemical resistance to fuels, oils and hydrocarbons is required.

The product is suitable for sealing expansion, construction and dummy joints in rigid pavements, apron areas, runways, taxi tracks, parking bays, hangars and internal and external pedestrian and trafficked joints. Concrete roads, petrol stations, warehouses, showrooms etc are other application areas.

PARSEAL PU Benefits:
• One part - no mixing on site, therefore superior to mix-ratio sensitive products.
• Very fast tack-free time
• Self-levelling - good contact ensured to joint surface - easy to apply
• Pitch-free
• Movement capability +/- 25%
• Bubble-free curing, no weak areas for air bubbles to develop
• Good mechanical and chemical resistance
• Very good adhesion to most construction materials especially concrete without the need of primer
• Permanently elastic over a wide range of temperatures
• Conforms to ISO 11600 F 25 HM, BS 5212:1990 Type FB, EN 14187-5

Surface preparation:
Joint surfaces must be dry, clean and free of all contamination. Glass, metal and other non-porous surfaces must be free of any coatings and wiped clean with solvent. Precast panels using form-release agents other than polyethylene film must be sandblasted or mechanically abraded and dust free.

Priming:
PARSEAL PU has excellent adhesion properties even without the use of primer on most common building materials. However, natural stone, paints, coatings and other treatments of surfaces may presents a difficult surface to which to adhere. Due to the number of unpredictable natures of these substrates, a preliminary test is recommended. PUPrimer may be required for porous surfaces.

Application:
Recommended application temperatures: 5° - 35°C. For easier use or cold weather application we recommend the material is stored at approximately 25°C prior to use. In order to guarantee free movement of sealant in joints, it is imperative that the sealant does not adhere to the bottom of the joint, therefore joint backer rod should be used at the proper depth. Apply appropriate primer to joint sides and observe waiting time to avoid any air bubbles which may arise from thesolvent heating under un-cured sealant.

Firmly extrude sealant into the joint making sure that it is in full contact with the sides of the joint and with the backing rod at the bottom. Keep the nozzle in the sealant, continue on with a steady flow of sealant preceding the nozzle to avoid air entrapment. Avoid overlapping of sealant to eliminate entrapment of air. Masking tape should be used where sharp exact joint lines or exceptionally neat lines are required. Remove the tape whilst the sealant is still soft.

Notes:
Do not apply in presence of curing silicones
Do not apply when moisture-vapour-transmission condition exists from the substrate as this can cause bubbling of the sealant Avoid air entrapment when applying

Health and Safety:
Ensure that protective gloves, overalls and protective footwear are worn at all times when handling the material. Avoid skin contact. Should the material come in contact with the skin it may be removed with soap and warm water. If discomfort continues, seek medical advice. If product comes in to contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of fresh water and seek medical advice. For full updated information please see Material Safety Data Sheet .

Par Foam-PU Par Foam-PU

PAR FOAM - PU
Hand Grade Expanding Polyurethane Foam

Properties:
PU Foam H is a hand held, quick setting expanding foam with good heat and sound insulation. It adheres to most building materials like wood, concrete, brick, metal, aluminium.

Use:
It is used in building industry for sealing, filling, insulating, fixing, installing and mounting (windows and door frames).

Technical data:
Volume : 40 - 45 1 (free foamed) (750 ml)
Specific gravity : 20 - 25 kg/m3
Application temperature in.: +5°C (surface), 20 - 25°C (can)
Tack free time : 18°C/60% RH 5 - 10 min
Cutting time : φ=3cm, 18°C/60% RH approx 25-30 rains
Hardening time : 1,5-5 hours, depending on temp. And humidity
Temperature resistance :40°C to +90°C
Dimensional stability : max. -1%
Water absorption : DIN 53428 max. 1 vol. %
Compression strength : DIN 53421 0,04 - 0,05 MPa
Tensile strength : DIN 53455 0,07 - 0,08 MPa
Elongation at break : DIN 53455 20 - 25%
Thermal conductivity : DIN 52612 0,039 W/(m K) at 20°C
Flammability class : DIN 4102 Part 1 B3

Application:
Surfaces should be clean, free of dust, grease and other impurities. Dry and porous surfaces should be moistened with water. The optimal temperature of can at work is 20 - 25°C. At lower temperature put the can into warm water (max. T=40°C) for about 20 minutes. Before use shake can thoroughly (about 20 times) with the valve upside down. Remove the protective cap and screw the adapter. Hold the can upside down and activate the foam by pressing the valve. Gaps should be filled only partially, as the foam expands 2 - 3 times its original volume. If you are filling a gap wider than 5 cm, work in layers. Apply the second layer once the first one has hardened. You can speed up the process of hardening by spraying the foam with water. Once the foam has hardened, cut it with a sharp knife and finish with plastering, covering, painting. If you do not use the entire can, clean the valve with the acetone. Cured foam must be protected against UV.

Packing
Aerosol can of 750 ml

Storage :
12 months (+10°C to +20°C)
Higher temperatures shorten storage life. Can must be in vertical position!

Safety precautions:-
